Big Bass 3in1

★★★★☆ 4.2 Editor rating

Big Bass 3in1 is one of those games I loaded up expecting five minutes and closed an hour later. It's built around a fishing theme and, as the name says, packs three separate mini-games into a single app. You tap to cast, wait for a tug, and pull the fish in with a quick swipe — nothing complicated, but the timing has just enough bite to keep you paying attention.

The three modes share a bright, cartoony look but each plays a little differently. One leans into quick reflexes, another is a calmer match-and-sort activity, and the third mixes in some light collecting where you fill out a little album of the fish you've caught. Switching between them stops any single mode from wearing thin, which is smart design for a casual title.

Controls are one-thumb friendly, load times are short, and I never hit an ad wall that felt insulting. It won't change your life, but as a game to poke at while waiting for a train, Big Bass 3in1 does exactly what it promises and does it cleanly.
